When I was a Webelos Leader I created a form with one line for each
activity pin and one each for Webelos badge and Arrow of Light.
Following each I listed the requirement numbers/letters, i.e., 1 2a
2b 3 ... etc. Mandatory requirements would be enclosed in
parentheses and optional requirements would indicate how many were
necessary for completion of the award. I also indicated which pins
were required for Webelos and AOL. I photocopied this form for each
boy in my den. When a requirement was completed I circled the
number/letter. This way i would be able to tell at a glance what was
needed by each boy for the award. Several times a year I would give
written information to the boys and their parents of badges that were
near completion and that were required for their next advancement so
that work at home would be more productive.
