Tiger Partner Service Stars

Dear fellow scouters...
I have been sitting on the sideline during this discussion. As a proud Tiger
Partner (times 2), I wore my Tiger Service Star on my uniform as a new Wolf
Den Leader. It wasn't until I had served as a Webelos Leader for one year
before I was told by our uniforming instructor at Roundtable that I was out
of uniform because of this.
Much to my dismay, he told me that adult Tiger Partners were not considered
eligible for the Tiger Service Star because they are not formally registered
as leaders or youth. The Tiger Service Star with Orange disc is a youth
uniform element only. If an adult is registered as a leader while a Tiger
Parent, therefore listed twice on the Pack roster, the adult may receive
credit *only* as a registered leader, with a blue disc.
It took me a while to get over this (proud Tiger mom indeed!), but have since
seen the logic. Perhaps Packs who wish to honor their Tiger Parents should
award a tiger graduate patch in addition to the Parent's Pin. Seem's like
this is a sufficient way to brag for any proud Tiger Partner.
