I was at the Sea Base for a training Conference about three weeks ago. I
have not partaken of any of the trips yet the food the week I was there was
excellant there was no need for extras. It was all fresh fruits, fish/meats
and even the breakfast was great. I was told on the reef sailing trips that
much of the food was supplemented by fresh fish caught as you sailed. All
the meals I ate where all dinning hall prepared.
Are You Flying into Miami? The reason I ask is that, if you are flying in
the Sea Base can probably put you up for a extra day. Although they did say
sometimes during peak times that could be difficult it is well worth asking
I have a good friend who went in March of 92 on the reef sailingtrip they
had so much fun they just returned from a week of scuba certification a few
weeks ago, and they are ready to go again next March for the advanced scuba.
I am sure that you will have a great time.
I went to Philmont in March of 94 andthe sea base in march of 95, and I
would have a difficult time telling you which I liked better. The Florida
Keys in March are far better than Illinois in March or even Philmont in March.
