Just a note to compliment the author of the recipe for "banana
s'mores" which appeared here recently (a couple of weeks ago). I made
these as a snack for Join Scouting Night last night, and they went
over spectacularly well--the kids (and a couple of adults) packed them
away and begged for more.
The snack, to refresh everyone's memory, consists of foil-wrapped
bananas (skin slit but unpeeled), filled with marshmallow and
chocolate chips, and baked on coals for about 10 minutes. Yummo!!!
JSN was pretty successful for a spring event. We got six boys last
year, and I picked up five last night, with requests for three
applications in the mail to boys who couldn't make it. Our fall JSNs
are much better, though--last September we got 27 boys.
I'm making the banana s'mores a part of JSN from now on. Try
'em--you'll like 'em.
