It seems to me that all the pins you wear should add up to the total years you
have spent in Scouting, both youth and adult. You may have to choose one or
the other, if you have a dual function.
Another item on "YEAR" pins, is the Veteran Scouter recognition which is
awarded in 5 year increments. It is not usually applied for by youth, but time
spent in the program as a youth does count. This pin is usually worn on
civilian clothes. Special pins are made for 25 years, 50 years and 75 years
of service. This recognition is not automatically tracked and awarded, so keep
track of your time, and put in your application when the time is right.
