A different sort of event that we do is sell flowers purchased
from a wholesaler door - door. Not easy. We usually sell $7K
of flowers, cost is ~3000, troop scoffs $1K and the boys
get $3K in the scouting accoutn for use at camp or equipment.
A second idea I have been toying with is have a pinewood derby
for adults. Awards could be $, tee-shirts, etc.
Entry fee $5-10, a single day events. could have refreshments
and place in a shopping center to attract people to business.
Just some thoughts,
