This recent request from Jack Finnerty for icebreakers reminded me that I
owed this gracious group of people a huge *thank you* for your quick response
to my last plea for help on icebreakers two weeks ago. Within an hour or so
after I posted my request, I had a terrific idea ready to put into action for
that night's training! And within two days, I had a collection of material
for future use as well as references to check for *more* ideas.
Not only was the new icebreaker a success (I used a version of the Who Am I?
name game), but for the first time ever, the Regi-Star (that's me) was named
on the evaluation form as one trainee's favorite presentor.
Thank you Pat Hamilton, Bob Kenyon, Jennifer Cade, Chuck Bramlet, Alan
Wolfson, Bob Condon, Anne Riddick, and Marc Solomon for your help and
creative encouragement. If I missed thanking someone who sent along an
icebreaker suggestion, I apologize--I must not have received your note (try
For the record, I forwarded all of these terrific ideas to Jack Finnerty in a
"digest" form. I know he has received much encouragement from y'all already.
I hope I haven't repeated too many of your suggestions.
Thank you all again!
