I think you've hit the nail on the head. Scouting is a program run by
boys. If the PLC hasn't voted on it, its not a boy program. Good
relations with the curia isn't part of the scout program. Yes, we can be
friendly, helpful, etc., but we're not enablers for their lack of
planning. I suggest the next time you get such a call you respond that
you'll take it up with the PLC at their next scheduled meeting.
Constantly giving cheerful service doesn't promote all of the aims of
Just MO. I don't know what you do if the PLC doesn't EVER want to give
service. I doubt that would happen, but I've been surprized before
