My old buddies have had enough. I guess it is time I break down and buy a
new pair of hiking boots. They sure have changed alot since I bought mine
(I think in 1978). They are worn and tired, I just hate to part with
them, but I think their time is finaly due!
Can anybody tell me what to look for, brands to stay away from? Is a
steel shank necessary? I won't be climbing Mt. Everest, but need good
support or my knees won't let me go! I do alot of walking and require a
