I have to agree with you...where they get these ideas are beyond me. I
attended Philmont PTC last year and on Wednesday afternoon the "National
Boys" come out to hear gripes and questions from the volunteers. We
complained to them about the elastic gathered shorts...well the shorts
altogether...you know 'the tight in the crotch and butt, with no room to
breathe and move shorts'. We also expressed our concerns with the scout
socks and their poor quality. Suggested that they go to Thor-lo and
approach them to provide socks to the right color....guess what I think
they actually listened to that one. As for the new and improved pants...
Their explanation was that the crgo pocket model cost too much...We at that
them just who did they think actually bought them??? Us of course and we
wanted to see the Material be more durable and done with cargo pockets.
After all there are some other places to get pants...No one looses except
National Supply. Something that comes to mind as I am wrapping this up is
Who is here for whom? and when will National start listening? or at least
asking and implementing.
