The cargo pockets were apparently deleted because they cost more money (about
$1.00 each) than the pants. When I saw the new field uniform pants, I
thought that removing the pockets were a big mistake. I like the idea of
"recycling" them from worn out pants :)

Why ask only for a handout? Surely, some kind oftrade can be worked out with
those same businesses, or at least the businesspersons. This could be a
golden opportunity to show the value of work, and the "barter" system.
BTW, in spite of my enthusiasm for the Scout uniform, I'm well aware that the
Scout inside the uniform is really what it's about. Having said that,
someone else on the post showed a fine example of why a fully uniformed Troop
is better - the boys _act_ differently when they wear it! I have seen it
with my own eyes, and itworks, folks!
