OUR troop voted to not use the New-style pants. Too expensive and
no pockets, crummy fabric. The shorts are even worse.
We go to the Army/Navy Supply house (or we have a local store)
that has an army styling pants, VERY GOOD QUALITY, are cheaper
than BSA pants ($20 kids, $30 adults). They are a plain green
(no camoflage styling though available) and look REALLY sharp
with the uniform. Ties on the bottoms of legs to keep the critters out.
The pants are somewhat baggy giving you plent of room to play.
The kids pants do not have as many pockets so the younger guys
will fit into the Mens small.
OUR WHOLE TROOP went this route. Our SM/ASM also have "the official
pants" for council events. When we are at a council events w/ the kids,
we do not go with the offical pants.
