Hello Scouts and Scouters.
My name is Ed Fickel. I am an ASM with T-236, Logan, OH. I have been involved
in scouting for only about 4 years. I have been hanging around Scouts-L
for a couple of months now, and I thought it about time to introduce myself
and our troop. Troop is a high adventure troop in the Hocking Distridt, Simon
Kenton Council. Last summer we hiked for ten days on the Continental Divide
in Colorado (Look for our troop and this trip in May Boy's Life.). This
summer we are planning a canoeing trip to the Allagash Wilderness Waterway
in Maine. (More about this later.)
I have really enjoyed reading all the good advice from you experienced
scouters on Scouts-L. Our troop, like some of yours, is experiencing some
severe growing pains!
ps. I apoligize to whomever I borrowed the Will Rogers quote from.
I have adopted it because it says so much!!!
The trouble with Boy Scouts is ... Ed Fickel
there ain't enough of 'em. aa639@seorf.OhioU.edu
