I'd like to know why they stopped the cargo pockets, too.
David, we found some old style in our Leggett's store here---now gone I'm
afraid. We bought out their supply of 36W. But you might have some success
in councils where there isn't a lot of turnover. I know if Ken ever out-
grows those pants that I'm going to be cutting off pockets to sew on new
pants!! My sons feel the same...they lucked out their last buy and got
some with cargo pockets, but now they need new ones and I'm don't expect
to be that lucky this time.
And while on uniforms. I liked the list comments that you should encourage
uniforms, wear them correctly, and not force the scouts to wear them.
We have noticed that the boys that don't have a full uniform (at least the
younger ones) begin to really want the full uniform when they see how
well ASM Ken's new scout patrol looks when they are together as a Scout
group. One idea for those that "can't afford uniforms"--target different
businesses in the area. Ask them to donate the cost of a pair of pants!
You'll be pleased to see how many are willing to help!
