Are you saying that snipe hunts are unacceptable? I would have to both
agree and disagree with you.
First off I would say that it depends on who you send out on the hunt, how
you conduct it, and what your intentions are. You don't send kids out and
ditch them. That is wrong. But if you stay out with them and play the
game, what is the harm? As a camp counselor for 6 years, I took many troops
out on hunts. The staff helped out with noises, and most of the kids
imaginations led them to believe they had asctually seen a snipe. They all
had fun and most of them, in the end realized it was bogus. BUT THEY HAD FUN!
