(Delete the part where Samuel is forced to endure a sound drubbing at the
hands of a strong intelligent female in a leadership position)

But...Samuel, you just got here! Isn't your sudden departure a little
premature? We've hardly had a chance to get to know you!
Why, there may even be some truth to the old adage "to know you is to love
you." Then again, they also say that "You only get one chance to make a first
impression." Guess you blew it on both counts.
Its pretty hard to look and act in a dignified manner when you have both feet
planted firmly in your mouth and you have just fallen on your butt in front of
so many people.
>I fear no one on this list.
That being the case, why such a hurried departure? Just because you got your
posterior flamed with your outrageous intro to this group doesn't necessitate
such a hasty exit. If you stick around long enough you may be able to correct
your problem with tunnel vision and anachronosis (inability to keep up with

I don't recall anyone here suggesting that your right to freedom of speech be
suspended, cancelled, revoked or in any other way violated.
> ...I don't try and influence young minds to my way of thinking...
The fact that you are in a leadership position with a youth organization more
or less negates this preposterous statement. How can you possibly conceive the
idea that *your* beliefs and attitude are *not* affecting the way you lead
your youth members?
> Kinda funny that the scouts promote free speech but here on the

I would hesitate to support that last part, Samuel. Your ideas are so dated
and beyond belief that it is hard to think, let alone believe, that you know
anything at all that may be relevant to the goings on here in particular and
Scouting in general.
> Again, unsubscribe me from this list.
Just in passing, Samuel, and not that we want or need you to split, this
request would properly be addressed to the listserv. The instructions will be contained
in the intro file you got for Scouts-l when you subscribed. Correct me if I'm
wrong, I think the detail you require is next to the item about Netiquette,
and manners etc.

And what is it when Samuel fears the admonishment of a few people that he has
offended? That's an easy question! Its time to leave!
