For all of you knot hounds out there, a book you might enjoy and find
usefull is "The Morrow Guide To Knots", by Mario Bigon and Guido Regazzoni.
The publisher is Quill, copyright 1982, and the ISBN is 0-688-01226-4.
Published in paperback on glossy paper, it has 647 color photos of knot
development from start to finish. The knots are presented using
multicolored ropes where appropriate. The knots are described as suitable
for "fishing, camping, climbing" and covers utility and decorative knots.
Its a good book. I picked up a copy ($12.95) at the REI store in Los
Angeles a few weeks ago. I used it with one Cub (my son, the guinea pig)
and he had no problems following the illustrations. I recommend it to those
of you on this list who find themselves in need of such a publication.
