Well, I have been asked toget some help for another leader from a country town
in South Australia.
My husband (Alan) who has the title of Project Commisioner, Cub Scout Section,
decided to challange all the Packs in South Australia to run a sleep In (one
night camp) and base the theme of it "Around the World".
Now, being the good little Vegimite that I am, while answering her questions
(Alan wasn't home, but at a meeting at HQ!),
I mentioned all you wonderful people. She is looking
at Cub Pen Pals. Her Cubs are interested and they need to hear from other cubs
that are in the countries they are going to "Vist" The countries are
2 New Zealand
She would like one pack from each country.
A brief reminder, cubs here emcompases boys and girls from the ages of 8 to 10
1/2. I dont have the breck down of Cubs in her pack, just know they want to
The Pack is bases in the Brossa Valley in thetown of Angeston and is one of the
leading wine making areas of Australia. Acutally, I think it produces about 40%
of the nation's wine. And trust me, it is good stuff!
The area also has a strong German history, which can also prove intereisting to
those who are interested.
While on the topic, I may be requred toask for some help as the District has
decided to base our District Camp in June around, so I may need so ideas from
you all later. But I will know for sre tonight after our District Cub Leaders
Meeting......(Guess who was volunteered to be on that organizing committee!)
Well, gotta go. Tea to gulp down and a few things to sort out before heading
Oh, and to all those that Ihave promise info to, please bear with me. Alan and
I started Uni a month ago and I am still trying to work out the study and
scouting commitments. It would help a great deal if they actually let Nursing
students have E Mail access. Alan does...but he's doing Computing.....It sucks
