Just got my camp booklet for Camp Crossed Arrows, our Prairie Hills Girl
Scout Council 150 acre resident camp...!!!
Camp theme is "Camp Once Upon A Time"
Thought I would share some of the programs with you.
1. Family Camps...Gals and Pals, Gals and Pals (just for leaders and
daughters!), Family Affair, My Guy and I (just for dads and scouts!) Seniors
and Sweethearts (Grandparents and girls).
2. Traditional camps...Teenage tenderfoots (grade 7-9, girls will go to the
boy scout camp)....Moose Maneuvers (grade 3-5, girls will participate in Proj
ect Wild and Project Learning Tree)....Night Owls (camp is night hikes, star
gazing, resting during the day, grade 4-6)....Boots and Saddles (grade
4-8)....Foreign Festival (grade 3-6, an international celebration)....Brownie
Buddies (grade 1-3, crafts, songs, games, hikes, bring a friend)
3. Specialty Camps...Camp Cover Girl (grade 5-8 Contemporary Issues health
and Fitness program, make-up, etc.)...Wee Women of the West (grades 3-6,
pioneer and native american fun)....Making Meal Magic (You do the cooking and
camp staff cleans up! grades 3-6)...Lights, Camera, Action! (grades 5-12,
stagecraft, will perform "Sword in the Stone")
I have a 3rd Grade Brownie Troop, and I will definitely try to get them to
attend as many as possible!
