Why do you need an electric fridge? We use a 240VAC/12VDC/LP GAS
fridge when we need to take a fridge to camp. (ie the fridge can run
directly on LPG).
It would be more efficient to run the fridge directly on gas,
instead of using the gas to make electricity, and then running the fridge
on the electricity.
Gas powered fridges have been around for years. My parents own one
that they bought 20 years ago, and it is still going strong.
