I don't know if this is in reference to what I said, although as far as I can
tell I was the only one to say anything remotely like this.
I want to point out that my troop *does* elect the SPL. He just serves as an
ASPL for a bit before taking over. He is not the only ASPL, and generally he
doesn't really act too much like an ASPL. He's more of a shadow for three
months, but we had to call him something, so we used ASPL.
I just wanted to straighten out any possible misunderstandings...
