D>I want to know what the rest of the Cub Scouts are doing about family
BSA is so different from the rest of the world, I don't think I will be
very helpful, but we have camping with Cubs here in Canada, although
tent camping has some restrictions on it except when it is family
Our Pack has three campouts a year with the spring campout being a
family or parent and son camp in tents. We don't turn the boys down if
a parent can't come but it does seem a bit awkward when a cub must come
alone. This happens to about three out of twenty five of the cubs. It
might interest you to know that we also invite the Beavers and the
Scouts to come. It is a great link up opportunely. Family camp is a
great way to introduce the cubs to camping especially those who were to
apprehensive to come out with us in the fall and winter (in cabins).
I agree whole heartedly with the other points you brought up.
That is why we camp with our Cubs.
