You're absolutely right. The Cub Scout Trainer Wood Badge is exactly that, a
major Train the Trainer course, as in 7 days of it. The Train the Trainer
course is a one-day thing. I have taken both, and have drawn some good stuff
Wood Badge is Wood Badge. There is no other course like it. Besides the
valuable training in how to train other leaders, you get to share in a once
in a lifetime experience with many other people you never met, but are family
when you leave.
At Boy Scout Wood Badge, the emphasis is on the Patrol Method and the actual
role playing of a 12-14 year old living the Scouting Way. Cub Trainer Wood
Badge has its emphasis on Training, and a lot on the Cub Scout program as
well. There is some role playing, but mostly aproaching the program from the
adult leadership point of view. You are grouped in Dens (the BEARS are th
BEST!) and belong to a Pack. But mostly, it is how to Train other leaders.
and another good ol' Bear, too!
