David, sounds like you have some plans in the future. I attended the
Fall '94 Cub Scout course and enjoyed it very much. The staff was all
regional trainers who used a cub scout pack program to present the 11
leadership skills taught in both Wood Badge courses. The pack program
is the ongoing theme for all the activities, with you as a den member.
Additional presentations and activties supplement this program, like
roundtable, pow wow, Ethics-In-Action, games, campfires.
You are right that the attendees are trainers, either Roundtable
Commissioner or District/Council Trainers. It is a great
opportunity to participate in a train-the-trainer activity.
There is a two year commitment to training after your practical course
is done, but this is the same period that your ticket is being worked.
Go, you will have fun! Yes, it all translats into much better
program opportunities for your pack.
