I've noticed that some Scouts have a problem when they've completed all the
1st Class Req'ts and are faced with having to earn MBs. It seems to be a
culture shock -- nothing to sign-off in their Boy Scout Handbook (BSHB).

find a counselor, talk to them, and having to wait until they complete the
work to get anything 'signed-off.'
Scouts that earn MBs early seem to be able to make the transition much

However, the arguement seems sound. Any other thoughts out there?
BTW, when was the last time you couldn't earn MBs before earning 1st Class?
I got my first MB back in '76 two or three months after I joined.
