As an aside....
There is a DE in our council who has served in his current position for less
than 3 years now. It was his first position out of college. As a youth, he
was chief of Wahissa lodge and was (and is) very active in the OA.
When I saw him yesterday at our lodge fellowship, I noticed he was wearing
four knots: Eagle, Youth religious award, Scouter's Training Award, and the
District Award of Merit. Given the recent discussions in this thread, I
thought some might find those last two interesting.
I didn't inquire as to when he earned them, but I would presume -- again,
given what was sait in this thread -- it was during his college years.
