I can't help much with prices or what items are "hot" to collect -- beyond
collecting what interests you.
The Buckingham Palace Scout Shop is right across the road from the Royal
Mews at Buckingham Palace and is easy to find. It is a well stocked shop
and has a wide range of Scouting stuff for the UK Scout Association.
There is also a Girl Guides shop pratically next door to it, if memory
If you have plenty of extra time you might want to try to visit Gilwell --
Chingford rail (not tube!) station, north of London. My memory is less than
complete here so either ask someone else here or inquire at a BritRail agent
in London. Caution: Gilwell is about 2 miles from the station.
My preference is to try to get a few of the local patches and then go
searching through the literature.
