Subject: JAMBEC '95
The Quebec Provincial Council is hosting a Provincial Jamboree in July
1995, with an expected attendence of 1000 youth and leaders. Based on
our past Provincial Jamborees, we know this one will also be filled with
fun and learning activities, giving new experiences for our youth.
Plan to attend with your Scouts (11-13), Venturers (14-17) and Rovers
(18-26). Invitations are being extended to all Provinces and to our
friends in other countries.
THEME: "Jambec '95 - A Scouting Adventure"
PLACE: Tamaracouta Scout Reserve
DATE: Arrival: Sunday, July 2, 1995 (after 10:00 a.m.)
Departure: Saturday, July 8, 1995 (before noon)
FEES: $175.00 per participant (youth and leaders), includes all
meals, camp fees, souvenirs and administration costs.
PROGRAM: There will be distinct programs for Scouts, Venturers and
CAMPING: Patrol basis, one leader to 5-7 youth. Lightweight
camping, patrols come self-contained with tents, cooking
and eating utensils. Separate sub-camps for Scouts,
Venturers and Rovers.
MEALS: Three per day, starting lunch on Sunday (July 2, 1995),
and the last being on Saturday (July 8, 1995). A common menu
is being developed and food will be distributed on a patrol
basis. A youth handbook will contain the menus for all meals
at the Jamboree.
REGISTRATION: Call or write to Scouts Canada Quebec Provincial Council
before March 17, 1995.
DEPOSIT: $25.00 per youth and adult
BALANCE DUE: By May 15, 1995
Activites have been developed that should offer every participant the
opportunity to participate to the fullest. When planning your
attendance, please keep in mind that each patrol from your area,
district, province or country will be distributed in different
sub-camps. This we hope will encourage a real friendship Jamboree.
There is no guarantee that patrols from the same district or group will
be near each other (except for Venturers and Rovers). So, each patrol must
If only one or two participants from your area wish to attend, contact
us, so that every member who wishes to attend will be able to do so. We
will try to place them in a patrol.
