Just prior to stepping down as Scoutmaster, Troop 771 was selected to appear
in "Wildlife in North Carolina" and "Scouting" magizines. Our Council
selected us because our Scouts and Scouters wear the uniform.
I agree with you completely. To present the best of Scouting, we must show
it. Its called advertising. This is why National requires everyone to be in
uniform for Jambores, etc.
But, it MUST all start with the unit leaders. They MUST set the example!!!!!
Whether it is attitude, uniforms, involvement, or just having fun, the unit
leaders must set the example. This is our responsible as a role model for
each youth member and other adults.
