My understanding is that while there were as many as 7 or 8 GS
cookie bakers in the 60s and 70s, we are down to two now.
I think this is one of the reasons that councils are beginning
to work on adult fundraising instead of being
so dependent on cookie sales. If either of the two companies that are
left quit, there would be major problems. I also seem to remember
hearing that there are more GS cookies sold than all other cookies
combined. I don't know if that was measured in dollars or quanity.
