As of 14 February 1995
Chris had been out of the hospital two weeks. His pain is much reduced
and he is no longer using a pain control patch. He must remain in
his house for all of February and most of March except for trips to the
hospital. He is much much better. He has covered one wall in his room
with get well cards he has received from all over the world. He enjoys
showing the wall to visitors along with the stack of email messages he
has received. He really appreciates all the support.
Jamie has been out of the hospital three weeks. She is doing much
better also, but I have not received any additional information on
her status. She really appreciates the cards she has received from
other countries and enjoys telling her friends about them.I was wrong on some of
my previous information about Jamie. She is
a 16 year old junior in High School.
Both of them still face many weeks of isolation and further treatment.
Julie Morgan, director of "Indian Summer: Kentucky's Camp for Children
with Cancer and Family Resource" says that all the messages the children
received have really helped in their keeping a positive mental attitude.
This is very important if they are to get better. She sends a great big
THANK YOU to everyone who has sent a card, letter, or email message.
