My name is Guzin Bahar. I am a Girl Scout Leader in Turkey, and I am a
college student in French Literature.
I would very much like to correspond with friends from French speaking
countries. I would like to learn your traditional Scout games and songs.

Guzin -- Bienvenue a Scouts-L. Welcome to Scouts-L. Je suis la cheftaine
(leader) of 4 Junior Girl Scouts (10 ans). Quel age a vos filles (What age
are your girls)? Ecrit a moi et je vais traduire votre poste pour la groupe,
parce que c'est une liste en Anglais.

I only speak for myself, 'cuz no one will let me speak for them.
This brings up an interesting question. This leader posted in French, and
that would have left the majority of readers on this list in the dark. This
question has been raised on Scouting Europe and I am willing to make the same
offer here that I made there. If there are people who are not participating
on this list because English is not their native language, I invite other
members to volunteer to translate for the group as a whole.
For my part, I volunteer to translate from French or Spanish to english and
in a limited way back the other way.
BIG NEWS -- Someone from this list passed my address on to a Guides de France
Jeanette leader and I received a huge packet of letters from the 23 girls in
the troop. -- To whoever passed my name on -- MERCI MILLE FOIS! And they
arrived just as we were finishing up our display for Thinking Day this coming
