ASM needs support. Please Help!

Considering the support that the list has generated for Chris Hardesty,
I thought that I might try it for one of our leaders. Here's the scoop:
Royce is one of our female ASMs. She has been going through a lot of
trouble recently - not the least of which is a _very messy_ divorce.
Royce has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. The doctor wants to do
the surgery as soon as possible. She is scheduled for surgery on Monday,
February 27 at Thunderbirdbird Samaritan Hospital, in Glendale, Az. She had
a good session with the plastic surgeons and was really "up" on about Tuesday
or thereabouts. This guy was apparantly one of the first doctors that wasn't
spreading gloom and doom.
On top of this, her Mom is having some sort of Liver problem and went to the
Emergency Room Thursday or Friday. She may have to be hospitalized if
whatever medication doesn't take hold. Royce really hit bottom Friday night.
The Troop Committee had all signed a card for her, and one of the other ASMs
gave her our card on Saturday morning after she helped with Scouting for
Food. She is really embarased but it helped her quite a bit to know that
someone out there really does care about her. She needed the boost and will,
I think, need a continuing expression of support simply by people calling on
her now and again. I'll try to keep everyone updated as I learn new info.
The way that you people can help here is to send your notes of prayers and
support for her to me or the other ASM with internet access, John Mosher.
Our internet addresses are:
You may address your messages to either of us. What I receive will be passed
on to John, as he is in frequent contact with her.
Thanks in advance for your help and support for a fellow leader.
