I recall being told that the district activities should be limited so they
don't interfere and dominate at the expense of troop activities, which is
how things should be done. We were told 4 was the target, but for each
branch, though. We do 2 camporees (with the Spring Camporee being the
Council camporee every other year), Polar Days and lately a District
lock-in. The Cubs have the pinwood derby and raingutter ragata combined. We
have the Expo for all district branches.
Scouting For Food was dropped as a national event, but council has picked it
up for Cubs and Scouts both. It sounds like your council is being pretty
