When I was Cubmaster in another town, we had 3 races per night:
1. Scout (ALL )
2. Adults/Parents/leaders/Older others
3. Sibling (youngers)
Initially, the leaders said they didn't want to race. I told them that
I planned to race and if there was no competition, then I would
just walk away with the trophy. THEY BEAT MY PANTS OFF!
The scout race had 60 cars, the adult had 40 cars and sibling
were 20 cars. We timed the race so that when the race in one
class was finished, the next race started which gave us time to
post results and set up for the next races...
We had these races in 2 1/2 hours and used the point system
I HATE DOUBLE ELIMINATION!

This event is only RUN by the scouts but is not a scouting
event... It would be a town wide event for our hyper engineers.
