Come On People

I can't believe it. Yesterday, 18 different people wished me a Happy
Birthday. How insensitive! Not everybody believes that birthdays are a
happy occasion. For some, it marks the passing of yet another year of our
limited life...bringing us one step closer to death. That people would just
assume that my birthday would be happy is so rude. And I'm sure that at
least 10 of those people were wishing me a happy birthday just to convert me
to the belief that birthdays should be happy, implying that I am a second
class citizen if I don't think it is a happy occasion. I don't find birthdays
happy and I would appreciate it if I didn't have to hear happy birthday 18
different times when that's not my belief....
By the way, in case some of you don't get it...<G> (for Inet novices, that
means BIG GRIN).
