Good morning fellow Scouters!
I'm writing this morning point out that it's not too late to

Your Invitation to High Adventure
18th World Jamboree
Holland - 1995
There is still time to apply for the World Jamboree.
"The Future is Now" will be the theme when the Scouts of Holland
host 30,000 Explorers and Scouts from around the world at the
18th World Jamboree, August 1-11, 1995. Explorers and Scouts from
all over the world will "go dutch" as they converge on the
Netherlands for the first such gatherine to be held in Europe in
The Jamboree will be held near Dronten in an area called
Flevoland, which has been reclaimed from the sea. The site is a
flat central area adjacent to a major canal and easily accessible
by vehicle from Amsterdam and other cities.
The Boy Scouts of America will send an Exploring contingent unit
from each of the four BSA regions. All Northeast Region Explorer
Jamboree participants will be assigned to the Region's Exploring
contingent and will travel together. Just getting there is part
of the adventure. The package plan will include the 18th World
Jamboree participation fee, air travel and tours, meals and
loding en route, Post and crew equipment, insurance, and
prejamboree training. The Northeast Region Exploring contingent
will be touring London for five days prior to the Jamboree.
Applications for Explorers are available at the Council Service
Center. All Explorers must be approved by our council. Explorers
must registered and at least 14 years of age and have completed
the eighth grade by June 30, 1995.
The 18th World Jamboree will mark the first time Explorers will
participate in the massive world Scouting event. Explorers will

activities and program events.
