I delivered all of the messages I received for Chris (the young scout
with cancer) to Chris last night. He has lost all his hair, but
looks pretty good. He lungs are ok now and he is up and about playing
with the family dog.
He has several months of treatment ahead of him so please send a message
now and then to him (email via me) or post so we can keep his moral up.
For all of you who have sent messages, Chris and his family say
"A GREAT BIG THANKYOU".
From me, all I can say is that it is amazing what a simple card or
letter can do for the recovery powers of someone. Just knowing that there
are so many people who care for you can do wonders.
For those of you who would still like to send holiday cards, get well cards
(particularly those from outside the United States), or just a
funny note (thankyou JoseMaria Jara Vilugron in Chile for that idea)
his address is:
3214 Radiance Rd.
Louisville, KY 40220
For those of you who missed the previous messages on this please read the
Chris Hardesty is a 12 year old Scout with neuroblastoma (cancer), stage four.
Neuroblastoma is a very deadly form of cancer and Chris is not doing very
well. He recently suffered a collapsed lung to add to his problems. We are
trying to cheer him up through email letters (but especially cards and
letters) from other people (especially scouts) from around the world.
His spirits really lift when he gets these cards.
Note: Cancel this after 01 March 1995
Note2: Please forward this on the internet to other groups who may
be able to help us help him.
There are MILLIONS of people on the internet. This is a great kid with
a wonderful future ahead of him. Please press your "R" button (reply)
and send a note to Chris.
So far I have passed on about 40 email messages to Chris from people in
Australia, Czech Republic, United States, Germany, Mexico,
Great Britain, Denmark, The Netherlands,Canada, and Chile.
He has also received many cards and letters in the mail.
