We have one boy in our den whose mother says he has ADHD. I've watched
this boy closely ever since his mother made this statement, and I can't
really differentiate his behavior from the rest of (most of) the den.
However, his mother is always on his case about his behavior, and sometimes
I kinda feel bad for the boy as his mother "disciplines" him during our
meetings. Now I don't know the details of his situation, and quite possibly
the behavior I see is when he's medicated. However, I'm becoming more
uncomfortable each time he's reprimanded by his mother in front of the
I'm assistant den leader, and my question is whether we (the den leader
and/or myself) should suggest to this mother that she not "discipline" her
son during our meetings, but rather let us try to manage him?
