I have met a number of Scouters over the years who believe that
Scouting would go on just the same with out Duty to God. For they
believe that the only purpose of Duty to God was to address moral
right and wrongs. In deed many children now are seriously question
religion and the churches, and find it very hard to accept the
reasons the churches give for God not intervening with the troubles
and conflicts on this earth.
From my own point of view is that I do believe on A GOD, but I do respect
those who do not. I do not think that people who are non believers
would make bad SCOUTS/SCOUTERS.
How ever do not believe Duty to God should be ignored, nor do I think
it should be a condition of membership.
After all how Scouts/Scouters go to church these days one scout out
of fifty, perhaps.
After all some the most horrific crimes and wrong doings have been made
in the name of religion and by religious leaders and people.
