On the subject of drinking in uniform:
I have, on occasion, been to a QRRT (Quebec Rover Round Table) and gone out for
a drink afterwards. (Actually, it's sort of a regular thing.) Almost everyone
removes their uniform shirt simply out of respect for Scouting's reputation
with the general public.
However, the element of "corrupting the younger members of the organization" is
not a problem in this situation since I believe that most of the people who go
are over 18 (legal drinking age in Quebec), and those who are underage are
usually already drinking anyway, and so are not going to be corrupted by us!
