I think a while back, Mike Schatzberg attempted to get a Kudu horn
from someone....and it was something that could not exported (was that
right, Mike??). Please check this out beforehand, Mike, so that you
won't be disppointed coming back to the States.
It sounds like a GREAT trip....while you are in Kenya, don't forget to
stop by the International Scouting Centre in Narobi (?). The BSA used
to send their National Explorer Cabinets there each fall for a week
and it was chronicalled several times in _Exploring_. Just my luck,
when I became a member of the National Cabinet, they stopped doing the
trips there and instead sent us all to Maine or Philmont
(hey...wait...*putting on Nomex (flame-retardant firefighter's
jacket) * not that Philmont or Maine isn't exotic, it just isn't
Africa, okay?? )
Hey Ian...can you tell Mike where the Scout Shoppe is from the
Mike, have a safe trip and don't forget to tell us about the Scouting
ends when you two get back!
Settummanque!@Hey! If I can fit, can you place me in your luggage?
*grinning* It sounds like a GREAT trip!
