I write this in response to Nathan Brindle's message, but I send it
to the list because there may be more people that will benefit from
it. (Note: I changed the subject; the original message was in the

Some time ago, I found a 'perl'-script named 'digest', that is able to
split up a digest into separate postings, with the appropriate sender
and subject, making it much esier to respond to a message.
I don't remember where I got it, but if you want it, just ask me.
It works only on UNIX systems where 'perl' is installed. The standard
version is configured to work with the 'elm' mailer, but it can easily
be changed for most other UNIX mailers.
