I do not wish to start a war with Gregor but I will not let his postings
go unchallenged again.
If this were his only posting on the topic of BSA, its program, and its
requirements for membership, I would agree with you. I stand by the
note as I sent it. I believe what I said in it to him. I find his postings
to be offensive and insulting. I believe others find them to be that too.
If he wishes information on the BSA program only, he would not make his
questions in the form "I can't believe BSA has this as its goal, surely
I misunderstand." I fail to see how ANYONE could find that to be anything but
a statement and not a question. The posting he made was clearly a conclusion
based on his personal biases against BSA about a single sentence written
by the National Scout Executive. Since the goals of scouting are clearly
written later in the manual, he should not have needed to ask the question
at all. His posting was a statement, not a question.
