Offhand I would say that Gregor is asking his questions in an attempt to
understand BSA Scouting. There are enough differences between Austrian
Scouting and the BSA version that there are bound to be a lot of questions.
There are also a lot of things about American Scouting that are confusing to
European Scouters - and most of the really confusing things are in areas a
BSA Leader accepts as givens and would never stop to think how strange they
might appear to folks from outside the USA. I would not agree with your
feeling that Gregor is trying to tear the BSA down - I think he is just doing
his level best to understand it. Why not look at his questions as
opportunities to help others understand the differences in BSA Scouting?
