I guess you know that we used to go by BP's original promise in Canada,
On my honour, I promise that I will do my best-
To do my duty to God and the King,
To help other people at all times,
To obey the Scout Law.
Rovers also used this promise, as well as the Scout Law.
I would assume that the Law and Promise were changed in 1968, along
with all the other elements of Canadian Scouting?
At some point, too, they shortened the second point of BP's Scout Law
from A Scout is loyal to the King, his Officers, his Parents, his
Emplyers, and those working under him. to simply a Scout is loyal.
Apparently, the fourth law was also changed from
A Scout is a friend to all, and a Brother to Every other Scout,
no matter to what Social Class the other belongs.
to simply a Scout is a friend to all, and a brother to every other Scout
