I think sometimes we all need to remember that there's one person who is
most important in a situation like this -- the scout himself. I can't
imagine how he must feel about all this. He needs to know that people
*do* value him and his work. *If* there is a problem with the father --
and I don't know enough about the situation to know whether there is
a problem -- then that is *not* the boy's fault.
