You could have a relay race, similar to the one where the kids carry a
suitcase full of clothes and have to put them on, with a toolbox full of
tools, including safety goggles. You could make it simple and just have
them run to the other line, put on the goggles and bang a piece of wood
with the hammer, or make it more complicated to include driving a nail,
pulling it and turning a screw into the hole with a screwdriver. If you
don't want to use the actual tools, you could still turn a quiz into a
game by having the boys race to fill in answers on a chalkboard. I think
my son's Webelos leader had the boys build catapults (or maybe that was
for Engineer) and had a contest to see which team (there were two
catapults built) could make a beanbag fly the farthest.
