My experience has been that while it may be fun to involve families in Pack
meeting activities, Den meetings are normally too short to work on the boy's
badges and involve parents and siblings in activities as well.
A good way to extend the fun and benefits of the Scouting program to the
rest of the family is through the BSA Family Program. This program is
loaded with activities to bring a family closer together. Families that
participate in the program can earn a certificate and patches. If you're
interested, pick up a copy of the BSA Family Program book at your council
service center or order it through the BSA catalog.
