In my case one effectiveness is my projection of the policy outside of
Scouting. On a weekend trip for our church youth group I was put in a cabin -
alone-with some boys 6-8th grade. I must admit, I was surprised and felt
uncomfortable after having lived the YPP for so long in Scouts. I raised the
issue immediately with the people running the Church group and just got some
very strange looks.
I shut-up and slept with the guys. I did't get much sleep. I guess I never
realized how much boys can talk at night.
